You'll experiment with and explore basic watercolour techniques, unleashing your inner artist as you create your very own watercolour masterpiece to take home.

You'll learn:

- the differences between the three main surface textures

- how to hold a brush correctly and which brush to use when

- how much water to use and how to mix pigments

- watercolour techniques of wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, dry brushing, lifting, splattering

- how to simplify your subjects

After working through a few technique-based exercises, we’ll paint an everyday-life subject.

All materials provided:

- prepared exercises to complete, on 100% cotton, 300 gsm watercolour paper

- pre-drawn everyday life subject on 100% cotton, 300 gsm watercolour paper, around A4 size

- watercolour pigments

- round brushes

- masking tape, backing boards, paper towels, water containers, plastic palette

- pencils, Uniposca markers, fine Artline markers

Feel free to bring your own brushes and pigments, if preferred.

Maximum 6 participants
